Hi,
I've liked the Wyrd figure line for quite some time, but was hoping for a rundown of Malifaux before I drop my cash and jump in. Can anyone please either provide, or direct me to, and overview of the game - something that gives a basic idea of the flavour / factions, the mechanics, and "Feel" of the game?
Thanks,
FMB

I gotta say, there are SO MANY similar requests just below this one. Do a quick read and you'll get all you need. Promise.
By the way, welcome! This game is sweet!

Check out the Wyrd E-zines on the main page. The PDFs there are really helpful in getting to know the world and some info on the game as well.

Vxghost has a nice intro to the game on his blog, Here (http://brokenzealot.blogspot.com/2009/08/malifaux-and-so-it-begins.html), as well as a comparison of Malifaux and Warmachine/Hordes, Here (http://brokenzealot.blogspot.com/2009/08/comparing-malifaux-and-warmachinehordes.html). Also, make sure and read the Wyrd E-Zine as it provides some nice background and fluff.
Welcome to Malifaux! :D

Oh man, thanks to this post I just learnt about the e-zines! Reading those would have really helped while I waited for my initial order to arrive. I've been trying to read as much as I can but I always looked in the forums for reading material, and the e-zines are on the main page. Well, better late than never...
More fool me of course, but I reiterate an earlier post - I think it'd be really helpful to have a beginners area in these forums.

I'll look into a sticky post for the forums that gives a break down on the individual crews, their styles, where to get additional information such as the ezines and the like.
Actually, probably tap on one or two of the folks that have already done that and just get it all into one post.

That sounds awesome Nathan.
Don't mean to sound pushy or anything - and yikes, I know you guys are uber-busy! Just figured it was a suggestion worth making :)

Found this after Gen Con. It's what pushed me over the edge.
