I posted this in the new guy section, but I know that they are commonly overlooked so I'll post here as well.

Hi all,

I've been admiring the Wyrd mini's for a while now and I'm excited to see that there is a character based game that goes with it. I like the concept.

So I'd like to pick up the rule book, but it seems to be sold out all over. So in the meantime I'll ask a question of those that may have it already. If one would be so inclined as to get a couple box sets and the rules book, what would be the box sets to get? And how is the art in the rule book?

Glad to see a new game with truly unique models come out. We'll have to see how the card thing works out. Does all the factions have unique decks or is there just one generic set? Does it involve shuffling? Man, I need to score a book.

I apologize for the rant.

Get the Death Marshalls... they rock! Of course I am completely biased.

The art in the book is great.

Ya you shuffle your decks and there is only one fate deck, they have different colors but the cards are all the same.

Hope that helps.

Art is very nice. a lot of flavor and style to it.
The only box set that I have heard come up short for starter games is the Gremlin box and I believe that is due to cheap gremlins more than anything :)

The decks mimic a standard deck of playing cards (which can be used instead). The Malifaux decks simply have Malifaux art and suits.

I can tell you the card concept turned me off when i first heard it many months back, but i have changed my tune now that i have played!

There is a unique deck..but its the same art and cards for each crew just different colours on the back. The art is sweet by the way! There is shuffling and you can also use a generic poker deck. The art is fun and it would depend on what you like to play to determine what boxes you start with. I got the Ortegas, Nicodem, Som'er Teeth, and the Viktorias. Those boxes will alow for a nice mix and mach with some of the Outlaws.
