This is Reaper's beautiful Lysette figure sculpted by Werner Klocke and painted in autumn colors using Reaper Master Series Paints. She features considerable freehand Celtic knotwork, and youthful freckles. The gem on her staff has been replaced with crystal clear styrene and tinted to contrast with her attire.

She is perched atop a custom sculpted, rune-carved staircase to give her a better vantage point to cast her spells.

I mainly did this to give myself ample practice at the knotwork. I love painting that stuff!

This is kick ass Patrick.

Love the face and how you've given her some rosey cheeks, down right fantastic and of course the freehand on the clothing is really tops. Your painting is really coming along in leaps and bounds.

And just so I don't remain ignorant as I'm more than happy to admit when I don't know anything, but what is Styrene?

Best one yet IMO.

Thanks! This was tons of fun to paint! I planned out the knotwork days before even touching the brush. I printed it out on a little swatch of paper and then copied it with white paint onto the figure. See, that Jen Haley class is finally starting to pay off! I wonder what I'll come away with from the next one!

n. A colorless oily liquid, C6H5CH:CH2, the monomer for polystyrene.

It is the plastic by which most model kits, gaming bases and GW figures are made. :D

This particular bit was carved from the sprue of a GW clear flying base, just 'cause it was handy.
