who is the best at what they do?

I want to hear your guys thoughts on this.
What master is the best at:
Melee- Viktoria or lady J
Range: Perdita without any question.
Offensive spell casting-Rasputina
Defensive spell casting-No idea
Toughest-Leveticus kinda but timing can make him easy to take down, Nicodem and Seamus really are tough sobs too.

Melee: you forgot Lilith! In my order for "most deadly": Lady Justice, Lilith, Viktoria
Range: Yeah, Perdita
Offensive spelling: Sonnia, Pandora (self-loathing is not only powerful, but very annoying), Rasputina.
Defensive Spelling: Pandora again (project emotions), Rasputina (ice pillars, freeze to terrain, white out), Marcus.

Rhamos is a very defesive master, with his ability to heal/and boost defence of his allies around him, as well as his armor 2 he is a tough nut to crack. He can also pop 1-2 free spiders a round

I consider Zoraida to be a very defensive caster. Hex, Bewitch, repulse, and obey goes either way.

The ability to turn into a crow and get the heck out of dodge is boss, too.

Hell with Gunfighter Perdita is also one of the best melee masters as well :)

I got her swarmed by Silurids once and saw her take out all three quickly in melee using execute.

what can't Perdita do? With Df 8, access to stones, and gunfighter, she can mix it up wherever she ends up. Obey and Execute are awesome. Hero's Gamble can be a godsend, and if you don't need it, you might as well use Quick Draw since you're not losing anything by going with that for your (0) action.

Sonnia is definitely one of my favorite masters in the game. Don't underestimate her in melee at all (unless Fate is totally bending you over a barrel). She's got an awesome melee trigger, a sword that kicks ass, and Inferno. If you're not using Confiscated Lore, and you're in melee, you've got no reason not to cast Inferno. And Flame Burst is one of the best ranged attack spells in the game, especially when you combine it with Explosive Burst.

As for the master that has the most character, well, my votes go to Seamus, McM, and Zoraida. The others have cool talents and stats, but these 3 just have the fluff so perfectly wrapped into them, without being as blunt as others. Rasputina, Lady J, Sonnia, Pandora, et al. fit their fluff, but they just don't have that little bit of oomph that these guys do.
