Hey all! We saw Malifaux at GenCon and it blew us away! I came back Monday and ordered the whole line! We are located in Illinois just outside St. Louis. We are excited to get this going in our store and hope to see all you Wyrdos soon!

Always great to hear! Happy we caught your attention, let us know how it goes and as Nathan mentioned, we like hearing about tournaments also (we'll be releasing a bunch more materials for tournament support shortly)

Well son of a gun....thats probably within an hour of where I grew up, and now I'm about 8-9 hours away from there with no hobby stores in sight.

Awesome... you guys are the first store in the StL area to carry Malifaux that I am aware of. Some of the other shops on this side of the river are looking into it after we have been talking it up since GenCon, but glad to see you guys jumping in the deep pool so to speak!
I might have to drag some guys over there soon and help alleviate some of that excess stock for you!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
I might have to make a trek out that way myself when I get some more money to acquire some reinforcements of my own. ;)

Wow! Thanks for the good words guys! This game has blown up for us. We got the first shipment in last Friday and had to do an immediate order on Monday. I am glad to see some of you guys on the other side of the Breach made it through (that river is a mutha! :)
We are going to start tourneys and league play in October (what better month for Malifaux! ):E) We are going to do open play nights till then to help people get introduced to the rules and allow time for painting (yes we influence painting, these figs are fantastic!) Let me know what days would be good for this since you guys are coming from a good distance. We usually stay open late when we have stuff going on, so you don't have to worry about driving over and playing for 10 min then leaving. My first thoughts for a kick off tournament would be a storyline multiplayer where you are scored based on your actions compared to the faction you play. A gamesmaster of sort will oversee it and score accordingly. This is a rough idea so send me your suggestions.
Thanks for the support!

That sounds like a really neat format for a tournament. Please keep us informed of how you go about doing it and how well it works.

For myself, I'm not free on Mondays and Fridays, but could make it out on occasion on any other night. Currently we're playing Malifaux on Wednesdays & Saturdays on our side of The Breach, but I don't mind driving out and mixing with new folks from time to time.
Definitely let us know when you schedule that tournament, sounds like a great idea. FWIW, there's a bunch of players on http://www.gamestlouis.com/forum also.
