Hi folks,
Of all entries I submitted in the Femme Fatale contest, my Forest Dryad from Mars Ultor was the entry that received the most positive comments.
I learned from this advice and painted a new one that is hopefully better :

Is this one better ? :wavey:

Nice but you might want to work up a bit your shadows. Either with thinned green inks or, to get deeper shadows, thinned red inks (color theory), but this is tricky, blue inks might be less harsh.

You're painting seems to be smoother and a bit cleaner in general on this one, pleased to see that some of the comments worked well for you (I haven't read them lately so I can't say what they are) on this.
Critique right now would actually be the lighting that you use to take the photography with these, looks like a single overhead lamp. Your setup and background looks pretty good - so I would suggest atleast two lights, to the sides, diffused if you can, though you can get perfectly good shots without it diffused too (SteveB does this I was just reading so obviously it works). If you can manage a third light overhead, that would be optimum I would say.
She looks good! I think Cedric is right in the shading, but in particular I think it would look nice with some inking or washing of darker colors into her hair as that would set it off nicely I think.
