So cool! I love cats! Can someone please give me a wee hint as to what they do though? I'm not askin for a card or anything just a rough summary. Do they claw faces off? I only ordered one pack but get the feeling I should have more.

They do claw faces off actually. Well throats to be entirely accurate.
They also work much better when there is more then one pride on the table. Just sayin.

I got the feeling they might be better at swarming things, big mob of angry cats! Oh man I'm going to be making some seriously annoying noises with these kitties on the table. I might order another Acolyte and try to make him look like Bubbles (Trailer Park Boys). Kitties!

it's always good to read the rules on a model before you order, too. Did you do that? Hmmm?
For now just base one kitten on a 40mm base and do that three times. It'll work and they look cute as hell with just one dinky kitten on a bigger'n hell base.
well, that's one way to do it. Of course, you'll only get credit for one of them still being alive...

Honestly though, I think about them in a lot the same was as those cute little aliens in Galaxy Quest...you know the ones :)

I think I'll give it a miss for now, if I order any more models I might be crossing a line! Got plenty entertainment winging its way here soon (hopefully!).
It never occurred to me that arcanists could switch beasts, that is most good indeed!
It would be really entertaining to have a lone kitty on a 40mm, sitting atop a bloodied corpse. Shame there isn't a sculpt of one licking itself!

Running the same thing, but with Marcus & his totem, is pretty darn fun too. That's probably going to be my third list, after I get my first two completely done.

Yeah, I actually really like that list honestly, very nice thematically and solid to run even if you're losing some of Raspy's bouncy spell abilities

Bouncy spells aren't her only trick. and if you're close to her, she can still bounce off of you and hide around the corner.

I think it's safe to say both will happen.
That said, while there may be new minions that are thematically linked to masters, there is no reason you won't be able to use them with other masters in that faction, just because thematically they're linked to another master.

Indeed.
Theme pairings are nice, but the depth comes into play when you start mixing and matching 'themed' models outside their traditional themes.

Nice, you gotta somehow combine Wyrd with Ugly Dolls. Ugly Dolls are the best (my son has 2). And are the perfect medium for Malifaux plushies...

Not to get away from the plushy talk cause that stuff is cool too but, if Arcansists can mix and match different creatures should I be basing them with magnets? If there are three to a base and I need to designate when one dies I should definitely use magnets to take them on and off. I guess I couldn't have a base with two hoarcats and an arachnid though. Or could I? God the suspense is killing me.

No. You don't have to base them with magnets. You'll be able to record and keep track of damage on their respective stat card.
And no, you can't mix and match the little critters... Yet.
So no putting 2 kitties with an arachnid and mixing their stats up.

Hot damn they some bad ass kitties. Two more blisters are a must! Am I reading it right? A pride can devour a height 2 model if there's another pride within 3" So two prides could effectively devour 2 models per turn? That's brutal! And they can heal themselves *and* against non armoured foes their damge with the trigger is 4/6/8 even without devour?!?

yeah, Prides are almost required to be in pairs or triples. They're just ridiculous that way. Raspy, Wendigo, 3x Prides, and a Sabertooth. seriously. So dangerous.

I like 'em with Marcus. Raspy is good for shoring up the long range though. Myranda makes a nice switch hitter, too.

I'd imagine after facing them once most people would make them target priority #1! I'll be sticking to Arcanists and Resurrectionists as my main factions so be getting at least 3 anyway.
edit: on that note, just discovered Maelstrom are carrying Malifaux. Cue 2 blisters of kitties, Marcus box and McMourning box. BUT THAT'S IT FOR NOW! I SWEAR! Damn Wyrd making me spend all my money.
They're awesome and amazing, I agree. But in play they do crumble pretty easily, so play them a little before you go selling the farm to invest in truckloads of kittens. Crumble more easily than you'd think.
He's right. They can be dangerous, but they fold pretty easily if someone wants them dead. And if you're bringing too many kitties, you're not bringing other models.
Nothing a little zombie action couldn't cure. Besides, undead models should have the rule "Foul to eat - Take DG instead of Healing" ;)

I'm really looking forward for the kitties. I will definitely have a crazy cat lady list! But, first the Rasputina start box.
I can't believe that list has a name already. Oh well, at least Tanya can take pride in having the OG cat lady list since she liked the idea back during playtesting. :D
