What the hell are Ice Gamin exactly?

The definition of Gamin I found was:

"An often homeless boy who roams about the streets; an urchin."

So are ice Gamin demons, some form of mutated child or what? Also i noticed they're described as "constructs", are they wayward kids Rasputina transforms and bends to her will? That's mean, but infinitely cool!

they're little elemental constructs. they are just lurking about having run at other people's expense. They're similar to Terror Tots in my eyes, only their existence is much more tolerable.

in no means I know the inside of it, but Im guessing the gamin part is chosen more as a name than exactly representing what they are.

if described as constructs I guess they are pretty much similair to golems and elementals, thus creatures constructed not from wood and iron but from pure elemental materials, only the gamin are smaller ones.

mutated childs would be too much resurrectionist and demons would be too much neverborn I'd think.

Consider that some of the spirits of Malifaux's long dead inhabitants wander the aether, eternally 'homeless'.

Some mages are capable of gathering those spirits/energies together and summoning them into a constructed form - in this case an Ice Construct, or as they are wont to call them - Gamin.
