Background question: Silurid smarts?

How intelligent are the Silurids? The figs don't have any tools or weapons, but that might be by choice. Do they have language? Are they unintelligent monsters, tool-using primatives, or rocket-scientist nudists?

Well they are based on Catfish, which aren't that bright. I think they might know how to use the pointy stick, but i'd think them to be more Instinctual savages who consider Zoraida to be their god.

Cunning would be more along the lines as I would see them, with their own language. They have intelligence, certainly have hunting tactics, but using weapons or the like, no need for it, they are deadly enough weapons themselves. Fierce and brutal, savage.

In my experiences, when battling other Neverborn of the Pandora clan, they have been known to be very unintelligent, resulting in Silurids consuming themselves and sometimes each other. Word round the Bayou is is Silurid tastes a lot like chicken...
