The voting for TT vs. FF painting contest has drawn to a close, and it's time to announce the winners!

The polls have closed and the identities of the painters have been published to their respective pieces in the gallery. As of this post, you are welcome (and encouraged!) to show off your entries on other boards, galleries and to reply to comments left on your entry.

Wow, ya'll let Landreth beat up on you.

For those categories that looked like the voting had ties, wasn't the case as some individuals voted only once, thus discounting their vote (three times, folks, three).

Anyhow, in all honesty this is probably going to be the last contest of this sort for some time as they need a bit of rethink completely on the execution of the contest.

What that means for themes, direction and overall interest in them in the future I have no idea, but I do know that we'll be making the votes public and only one vote to each person as that will cut out the confusion and the inevitable time it takes to sort through the contests to make certain everyone followed the rules on it.

Might possibly just make the entries public from get go as well but I'll give a think on that some more later this year after we release Malifaux and knock out the majority of the work that is on our plate at the moment.

Again, my apologies for being late in posting the results, no excuse for it, but my apologies all the same.

Thanks for running another great contest Nathan.

A bit disappointed about the possible change in direction (specifically the entries being public), and delay in next contest, though. :( These contests are really what got me back into painting in 2006, so perhaps I'm a bit sentimental about them.

Again, thanks for running it! I don't know how you get the time for everything that you do!

As for Wyrd contests, and maybe this is a different thread altogether, but I'd like to see more WYRD contests onthe Wyrd site! I think with all the Malifaux stuff a contest for best Guild paintjob etc. might be in order. But that's me.

Congrats to the winners! I'd say a special congrats to Landreth but I don't think he'll be able to hear me around the fountain of prizes and deserved praises raining down on him. ;->

Change is hard to anticipate, so I'm just going to wait and see what the great minds of Wyrd come up with for future contests before getting alarmed. I'll miss having multiple votes, as it made decisions much less agonizing, but I can see where it's a pain to administrate. I just want to mention that any occasion where I have not entered a contest is purely down to my own disorganization or lack of time rather than a disinterest in the themes or dislike for contest admin.

Yea, thanks for another awesome contest Nathan. :D And a big congrats to Landreth for whooping our arses!! I for one really enjoy these contests, and in particular I like the fact that they are anonymous. I'll also be sad to see the three votes go because it give the more intermediate painters (such as myself) a big boost to when they see that they get a vote even though it's clear you won't win the contest. Still, onwards and upwards and I look forward to seeing what a new contest will bring!
