Thought I would share this with the folks over here. Now I am no artist by any means as I stated in my previous concept art thread. But I still wanted to share this with everyone and see what they think.

Primarily, if you have read the Desolation short story I've been working on in the WRiting forum here I have a couple questions for you.

1) How do you think the long jacket concept looks?
2) Which Long-arm concept do you think has the best feel?

I might make more long-arm concepts but for now I already have a favorite. Wondering if others that have read the story might have one they think fits the feel of the setting best.

Thanks in advance

Heres another I started Last night...just a doodle really, trying some costuming ideas out for the Long Jacket

Heres another with some concepts for the Long-arm pistols used by Hicks

Another concept with another one for the Long-arm.

Hicks is a guy right? It is just the pistols your are talking about?

The first one gives me a 'summer vacation' type feel...its probably that hat.

I like the 2nd one best of all.

Same with the pistols...that 2nd one gives me a 'western' futuristic feel...Maybe if the actual cylinder were moved back towards the hilt a bit more....

Thanks again super!

Yes in the story Hicks is a Guy. I just like drawing women. LOL

I am trying to alter the typical old western 6-shooter, I figured moving the cylinder around, like forward and more in-line with the grip would give it a longer feel, hence the namd Long-arm.

I thnk the second one captures it best as well.

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone else have any opinions? I will post more weapons and concepts later.

Haven't read the story.
For futury guns I like the 3rd best, but if the gun is called "long arm" that looks more like a snub-nosed .38

Have you thought about the really old revolvers where there were 6 barrels and the whole barrel assembly revolved?

I have thought about the multiple barrel guns, I just don;t thinkthey have the feel I am going for.

Nice drawings. The third and fourth girls are the ones that appeal to me the most, and the third pistol works the best as well, especially if its in the future.

I like the snub nose the most.
Very nice the lot though, good concepts.

Thanks guys! I Will be posting more concepts as I come up with them.

Been working on guns and fems lately for this...even though there are none in the story. At least not Gunfighting types of ladies. Yet that is.

Almost bought a book on American Arms yesterday...showed all the different gun styles through the ages, Some very detailed pictures...but it was 20 bucks....I am still hemming and hawing over it LOL

Um - those are cool! And you know all of the Browncoats (http://www.serenitymovie.com/) will think they are cool too!

Thanks Pat!

It would be cool if all the browncoats thought they were as well. LOL

Still trying to get that Sci-Fi/West cross feel into the characters. I've been really heavy on concepting the girl in the Jacket, I just REALLY liket he jacket with the arms opening like that...sort of like the jackets in the Ren. period would unbutton for the sword arm.
