Ok, I've been a member here for some time now and am ashamed to have never posted a thing :imsorry:
Some of you may already know me (or of me), some may not. Just thought I'd say a little 'ello and get a little more active :).

Tonester...I just took a look at your personal profile. It looks like I am your elder by exactly 1 day. June 18, 1968 was my birthday...(no need to bow down to me, really)
Do you paint, or game, or what?

Welcome to the Wyrd forums, Tonester!
I think what Eric meant to say is watch out for the ladies here.
WE keep the men in line, since (according to the google video FF recently posted) they fear us.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)
@ SV Hahaha, just a day in it eh? Should we get a cake and hold a joint party on the boards? ;)
Do you paint, or game, or what?
Dough, silly me...Fogot that bit in the intro didn't I...Ok here goes
I've been into RPG's, on and off, since roughly 1980-81 ish, where I discovered the wonderful world of mini's. Stopped painting some time ago after discovering Women, beer, general hellraising and eventually settling down and doing the family and home thing. Picked up a paintbrush again about 3 years ago now, as a form of stress management and haven't really stopped painting yet...Though availability of time does seriously hinder the speed at which I produce final finished pieces. I don't game anymore, again down to time constraints and being a bit housebound in the evenings, but do enjoy reading through the various material.
RP interests tend to be Fantasy. Tried a number of different Genre's, some I enjoyed, some I hated, but I tend to gravitate back to my first love...Fantasy.
Painting wise, I'm going through a bit of a big clunky warjack phase at the moment. Enjoying getting back to basics with some techniques and really going to town with metallics (Which are just a hoot...great fun :) ), though after my current project I've got a burning desire to paint the Wyrd Baby up.
@Eric
Hahaha, thanks for the build up mate...I owe you one ;)

I just don't understand how people can get chatty on boards, piling up hundreds of posts in a few months, just strange! :thumb: :thumb:
Becca, don't worry about getting tone going, I hear he'll go for hours, 3+ at a time I learned from Zordana board ;)

Seems to be more similarities than just our birthdays...
Very similar path for me, kind of rediscovering the hobby after being married and having children. I jumped back into this hobby, full force, about 7 years ago or so, having much more disposable income, but much less disposable time...so I've a huge pile of unpainted lead. Fantasy has been my favorite (and almost only) genre too, but recently I've started to branch off. I have really been interested in 'alternate ww2' minis and 'pulp minis'. I'm even starting to pay attention to 'futuristic' minis with the great line from Infinity.
Anyhow, welcome again!!

Spooky eh? Sounds like there should be plenty to jam about :)
I have really been interested in 'alternate ww2'
Hahaha, now your starting to scare me...I started getting interested in that idea sometime last year...Kind of a spin off from that Weird West RPG (I forget the name off the top of my head)...Something about it just really appealed...So much so that I dug out a dust copy of "The Keep" (Love the WWII setting and build up, the ending got a bit silly though).
But yeah, mini-wise, I tend to look across the genre's...I do like the Orcs from the infinity line...I think I might have one or two lying around somewhere...Yep snap, Got an unpanited mini mountain here too ;) (I gather that's quite common though hehe)
Any particular favorite Fantasy settings? I always got alot out of the greyhawk one (As it was the first exposure I got to D&D), Middle earth (Of course), The Moorcock setting and recently have found a few elements of the Scarred lands setting from "Sword & sorcery studios" to be really interesting/inspiring.
@ Eric.
Shush you, that's our little secret ;)
