There has been a lot of buzz recently (ok, just me and LeadAsbestos) about Alternate WW2 genre. There are actually quite a few mini-lines devoted to this type of thing.

Check out Frothers' page on it...

Well, anyhow, I've had a growing interest in it of late and have just stumbled over an awesome little comic book called "Lost Squad". I have the first issue, and loved it. It is put out by a company called Devil's Due Press.

Basically, the bad Nazi's are using arcane magics and religious relics to grow their Warmachine. The Lost Squad is sent in to handle these problems.

It made me wonder if there are any other little gems out there waiting to be discovered within this genre....novels, comics, movies, what ever? Anyone know?

The movie HELLBOY's opening sequence is pretty much dead on what I am talking about...

AS for novels, I know author Harry Turtledove writes a lot of "alternate history" novels that are pretty popular. Here's a Wikipedia link with a lot of info and some more useful links if you want to check it out:

Isn't Black Library GW? If they do a Weird WWII, or even a real WWII...Oh boy! Their quality is still second to none, and now with everyone and their brother jacking up prices...

Yup, the Black Library is certainly a GW entity, but from that link, I don't see the association you are talking about?

Sorry, every time I link to TMP, I get the same story...

There was one for a book called Operation Vampyr, by Black Library. Looked interesting too.
