Hello. I'm new to the game, as well as the forum, which is pretty much evidenced by my posting in this particular thread... I've been a 40k player for years, and was just introduced to Malifaux this past January. I found it a refreshing change of pace with multiple avenues of fun to explore. I'm still trying to get a grasp on the whole cards over dice thing, but that's typical when you've been tossing dice for 20+ years. Anyway, I'm more of a hobbyist and love painting models and building scenery rather than developing strategies that will ensure my victories. I know people that spend all their time figuring out the next power combo, and when they beat me, I just look across the table and think... Well, my models look better Pffftt!
It's always more fun to have a story about an epic failure, dice, flip, tap, than a story about annihilating your opponent, and that's what I like about tabletops.
Turned into a bit of a soapbox, so I'll back into a corner and lurk.
Thanks.
