Hi all
Never painted dark skin before - can someone give tips on this using GW paints only?

GW paints? Sorry, can't help you there.
Using Reaper paints, though, I might be able to. I use Earth Brown for the basecoat, Muddy Brown for the shadows, Muddy Brown/Blackened Brown (50/50) for the darkest shadows, Leather Brown for the highlights and Leather Brown/Leather White (50/50) for the extreme highlights.
I thought I once saw a color equivalencies chart somewhere, but I can't remember where off-hand.

Not a direct conversion, but Vallejo has a color equivalency chart, that has Reaper to Vallejo to Citadel, its not 100% up to date as they haven't including the foundation paints.

And if you want it in a nice printable material:

I used the following recipe on - http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/pete--h/Security-complete1.jpg-:
Base coat of scorched brown, 1st highlight layer 1/2 scorched brown - 1/2 dark flesh. Then a layer of pure dark flesh, followed by a 1/2 dark flesh - 1/2 dwarf flesh. This mix then had several additions of bleached bone added to raise it up. A brown ink glaze was then finally added over the top.
Hope that helps.
