I have my minis 90% painted, but I need to work on basing. Darn Halo 3 is keeping me away from the painting table though. I need to finish my IP entry quick too.

Duende did a tutorial a bit back on how to do this for the Femme Fatale contest. Just go to the RH III section and do your thing.

If that doesn't work, then there is something seriously muffed up.

I'm guessing the Rotten Harvest III is hidden until the end of the entry period. It is in the pop-up gallery list when you go to upload you photos using the main Gallery page link.

I knew I had to upload pics using the "upload photos" button, but I either didn´t see the RH III categories in the pull-down menu or they haven´t been there this morning.

Well another no entry from me... sigh. I like the painted skin of my planned entry, hate everything else. Man I gotten rusty (goes to plan for next years... that should managable ;) )

I actually got a couple of entries done, but since the photos just aren't coming out right I won't be submitting them. Maybe I'll start saving up, get a decent camera and lighting set-up and be able to submit something next year.

Well I've got one in another almost done...and 1 that may be my IP entry yet gonna se how I get on with the bits I got today over the weekend and see how that is shaping up and make a decision then....busy busy busy...

I finished my entry last night, just needs to be dullcoted. Well that not entirely true I got it to the point that I thought I would be finished but then decided to add a few more small details. I'll be able to finish it up and take my photos this weekend with ease though.

Aww they can't be that bad. Your IP photos were fine. Just post them, the more entries the merrier.

Besides, this years Rotten Harvest seems to be just that with seven entries so far. I think we might either plan the IP for different times or just cut the Wyrd ones down to once a year after this as there has been a decline on them the last few and might be best served with one big shingding vs. several moderate ones.

I would hate to see the Wyrd contests cut back too much, though I have to confess it's very unlikely I'll have anything for this one. Which I'm bummed about, since painting something spooky and entering it in the Rotten Harvest is something I like to do to celebrate Hallowe'en! But I'm just too crunched between commissions, general life and IP this time. IP is really less of a factor than the other two have been so far, but it does make it a little more challenging to try to paint great contest entries if you're also in IP.

I can't recall on previous years, but seems like there's been a bunch of contests around the same time this year. The Europeans just had a bunch of RL ones with the big con in France, DUZI in Germany and a few others I think. FOD's Diorama of Doom deadline is the same as Rotten Harvest. World of Minis had a contest deadline earlier in the month and Newbold World had one early in Oct and early in Nov. There are probably several others I'm not even aware of. So might just be bad luck on the timing this round.

Maybe we've slacked off on promoting the Wyrd events a bit? There are probably lots of new to the (online) hobby people who don't realize how great Wyrd contests are for getting feedback and don't have to be a god of painting prize chances. I'd hate to think a lot of people dropped out because the prize selection is a little less spectacular than it used to be.

Prizes are some of it. Advertising might be a bit more. I think mostly though it is a ton of contests have popped up over the last year or so, many of the large manufacturers hosting their own contests now as well.

We'll see though, I'm playing with the idea of a special miniature for the contests. Have to see what comes of it.

yeah there's about 3 online stores including Arcane miniatures off the top of my head that have dealines 31st Oct.....maybe people are taking all the extra time they have to put finishing touches to entries and by Monday you'll be swamped.....
Rotten Harvest should stay it rocks..besides there were 20+ knockedout in the IP first round they should be after retribtion.....:ripped:

For what it's worth, the WoM contest and IP4 have taken-away my painting time for working on the Rotten Harvest contest. I am really trying to get SOMETHING to enter into the Rotten Harvest contest. I have been in every Wyrd contest since the original Femme Fatale, and do not want to break the streak. :) I enjoy the Wyrd contests, and look forward to being in them and seeing the entries for them.

Would be sad to see less Wyrd comps but I guess IP clashes quite badly...

After a long meeting about nothing at work and bad traffic sat down to knock out the fig. Broke her off the base had to re glue.
Needless to say a few cocktails later I was in condition to paint.
