Direct notice from the Front page on Privateer Press Website:

It has come to our attention that some of the pots in a recent batch of Rhulic Gold paint are experiencing problems. If you have a pot of recently purchased Rhulic Gold and have found the consistency of the paint to be overly thick or in any way problematic, please notify customer service at frontdesk@privateerpress.com (http://www.privateerpress.com/frontdesk@privateerpress.com)

Apparently there have been some problems with thickness and in some cases rather "explosive" results with the Rhulic Gold. As several folks have mentioned use of the P3 paints figured this might be important to note.

Good thing I don't buy my metallic paints through them!

Hmm I guess I have a good pot. No problem with my 2 pots of Rhulic Gold.

Apparently some pots of rhulic gold have been expanding and exploding. I wish they would do this for molten bronze. Some of the early pots were not much more than copper sludge. I have 2 pots of that that are almost worthless.

So I'm not alone having a problem with Molten Bronze? Mine looks like oatmeal. Have you tried to have yours replaced r2? I hadn't gotten around to trying to figure out how to go about that.

Hmm my molten bronze is just fine. In fact it's one of my favorites besides Blighted Gold. I didn't get molten bronze when it first came out so maybe I got the second wave.

I had a sludgy Molten Bronze too, but I managed to fix the problem by adding acrylic flow release to the pot (slowly, in small amounts), stirring it in as I went. It's now as runny as my other P3 metallics.

I used Golden artists acrylics flow release.
