While I was away for 3 days, my aunt stayed over at my house to keep my wife company. Usually I would keep my painted models in a closed cabinate but since I was planning to return the model to its owner I had left it on the shelf in my living room. Never did I expect this to happen when my aunt was cleaning the house....

No one touches my painted stuff, I'v made that pretty clear. Even when the stuff was in pieces on the floor yesterday (I had a similar tale of woe) only I picked all the stuff up.

That's a bummer, SC. Sorry to hear that. Are you going to be able to fix it without too much trouble?

I wish someone would come over to my house and clean..

I hope you can repair it without the owner noticing.. =(

From what I see its gonna need a few hours of work gluing, bending and touching up the paint. I haven't really examined it closely but sure looks bad. My wife told me over the phone that the model fell off and only the wings were broken. That night I couldn't get to sleep in the hotel knowing its gonna be much worse than that.

Thanks for the kind words. Now I just need to scream out loud.

man, that's rough! (Victoria, take note of the proper use of the word rough, have you gotten the kids saying it yet?). Usually I've found things go back together better than you think they will, so I hope that's the case! Good luck :)

Trade her in for a new one cow, one that cleans without dropping things. Possibly one that makes your dinner too...

I couldn't even watch that photo more than a few seconds. Seeing the mini in pieces like that makes me feel queasy. I'm really sorry! :(

Man that is rough. But then life is rough, and sometimes marriage can be rough. But you just rough your way through it and then one day it's not so rough. Sorry you are having a rough go at it now though. (Eric notice I used rough 7 times total,... are you proud?)

Ah, ouch!

I have it here as a basic rule, that my models are only to be touched, when I allow you to. Fortunately putty is much more stable than pewter and there ain't no paint to chip off.

Well I guess your aunt just meant to do you a favor, but that's no reason to release her from the basement yet.

Well, having a Harbinger myself, it looks like you've got some work ahead of you, but it shouldn't be terrible. Having the acolytes on the base would have made this much worse.

Why didn't you pin the upper and lower halves together?
