View Full Version : Newbie question re:triggers
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer using search.
Anyway I'm unsure which cards in a flip count towards triggers. For example Perdita's Critical Strike, I know she always gets this trigger because she has a 'free' ram, but I'm unsure which cards on a flip can add to it.
e.g.
Perditta shoots an enemy model flips a card and its a ram, the enemy is losing and cheats. I cheat as well getting a ram and win the duel. Does this give me two rams to add to my critical strike?
If I was still losing and burned a soul stone to flip a card to add to the total and it was a ram would that count towards the total?
And finally say I had to flip three cards on the damge flip and they were all rams would that give me three rams towards the total?
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Ferb

Hi Ferb, welcome to the forums
If you cheat in a new card, it completely replaces the original card in both value and suit, so you'd lose the first ram you flipped.
Burning Soulstones adds the SS card on top of the originally flipped (or cheated) card, so you could have the Ram from there giving you two.
The max number of suits you could get in your duel total is therefore 3. One baked into casting or combat stat, one on the original card and one from the Soulstone.
You activate your trigger before you flip any damage cards, so those cards can't be used for triggers. At the moment (I think) there's nothing in the game which uses the suits in a damage flip.
Hope that helps!

Mike is right, you take the suits from your final duel cards (after any cheating and soustone use) along with any suits associated to the relevant statistic on your profile.
Thanks for the quick replies. That clears things up nicely.

Hi,
After getting a few games under my belt I have another question about triggers. Can you use the same trigger a number of times in the same activation.
e.g.
Nino Ortega hits his target and manages to activate 'Trigger Happy' giving him another shot. If he damages with that shot and also meets the requirements can he activate 'Trigger Happy' again and so on.
Thanks,
Ferb

Yes this is fine, any limit/exception would be stated on the card (and I can't think of any that are right now). Trigger happy is great for getting multiple shots in if you have the cards ;)

Kaeris' "Turn it Up!" removes :tomes from your Cb making it unreliable to trigger it more than twice :)
If you couldn't trigger it twice in the first place however, it'd make no sense for it to remove the :tomes.
So there's a case in point..
Thanks for the replies. I'd thought that was the case as Perdita etc can automatically use Critical Strike with each shot, but a more experienced player at the club said you couldn't.

Note that Perdita can choose to use Critical strike with every shot, but she is still limited to one trigger per strike. So she may choose to not use it to activate another trigger instead.
Got you, one trigger per flip, but that trigger can be any of the available ones that have met the requirements.
