This is information ported over from the original website so that it would not be lost to the ether. This was the contest that started it all and I'm very pleased with it! Please check the contest gallery to view the entries!

With the opening of the Wyrd Game site I decided I wanted to kick it off with a painting contest and thus the Wyrd Wereshark Painting Contest came to be. The subject was a miniature by Reaper Miniature - Dark Heaven Legends - Wereshark. Reaper Miniatures (Bryan Shiltz) supplied the prizes for the contest helping it to become a great contest with some fantastic entries.
Due to the popularity of the contest, and the fact that I truly enjoy running them, there will be many more in the future. At the moment, I am trying to expand upon the original idea of the contest as well as seeking support within the community and companies so that this has a possibility of being ran four to five times a year, keeping it a continious thing.

"The WYRD Wereshark Painting Contest" is now officially over and the votes have been tallied! It was a close call for the winners of both catagories and for a bit there I thought we would have a tie in the Best of Show.
For BEST OF SHOW, the winner was Heather O'Neal with her 'Wereshark Gladiator'. She barely managed to edge out Tracy Brady with her 'One Surprised Eagle' who came in second place. Third place was shared by Joanne Dale with her 'Wereshark Snack' and Scott Baker with his 'SNL Candygram'.
For BEST BASE/DIORAMA, the winner by a clear margine was Scott Baker with his 'SNL Candygram'. This seemed to appeal to everyones humor and it was quite well done. Coming in second was Michelle Clay with her 'So Long and Thanks for all the Fish' with its stunning beach diorama and following closely was Tracy Brady with her 'One Surprised Eagle'.
Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a fun contest! Once again, a huge thank you to Reaper Miniatures for supplying the prizes for this contest.
Random Schmucks have been chosen. You can thank my five year old son who had a fun time picking them out of the hat and then running off with them to be chased down! They are: Michelle Clay (Duende), Todd Hersey (DM of DOOM), Ethan Kozaki (Equus), Jeremy Welke (Drake Farstrider), Joanna Dale (Kittykat23uk), Jeff Logan (Human Squish) and Donna McConnel (Wiccan Pony)
