This may have been cleared up already but I couldn't find it. I was playing a game the other night and we decided to flip for special terrain features and flipped the torential rain (I think that was what it was called models can't charge the following turn) It's timing was listed as random but neither of us new how to determine when or if the rain happend in the game. I know some of the other effects are listed as similar and I couldnt find in the rule book where it might clear up how and when these effects take place. Just turn 1 or turn 2, or random every turn, who flips for it etc. I would like to clear up how it works for our next game.

It might be in the main book which I loaned to my brother right now just using the small rules book.

Edit: meh cant edit title I am tired so swap thinks for things

Random means that at the end of a turn, the last person to activate flips a card.
If that card is a 10, 11, 12, 13, or either Joker, the effect goes off for a turn.
Repeat until the end of the game.

Hope this helped. =]

Rules Manual, Page 88, Special Events, Paragraph 2

Basically whoever activates the last model every turn flips an extra card at the end of the turn (after shuffling, which causes you to shuffle again; super annoying) and if it's a 10+ or a Joker then the random event happens the next turn.
