Hi, the rules for scavengers and Graverobbers both state that when a construct or a living / undead model is killed while they are on the board, it is "replaced" by the appropriate number of counters.
1) Is this the game term "Replace" from p.38, which would require the counters to be placed touching the base before the base was removed from the table? Or, are the counters placed somewhere within the area covered by the base of the model?
2) Who actually places the counters? The controlling player, or the acting player?
3) In the case of a model with a 40/50mm base, do these counters have to be placed in a stack, or separately or however the placing player likes?
4) The rules for counters on p.18 state that a model with the appropriate characteristic can pick up any counters it is touching immediately - can it gain them as they are placed in base to base contact, or does a model need to wait for its own activation to pick up counters it is touching?
5) If the answer to 4) is that the counters can be gained immediately, what happens in the extreme circumstance that 2 opposing scavengers are both touching a counter that is placed on the board?
