View Full Version : Paralyzed and "forfeiting" activation?

Do paralyzed models activate, but do nothing (i.e I can use them to stretch out my activations for the turn) or do they simply not get an activation during that turn?

If they activate, but do nothing does poison take effect, or is it just saved for their next "proper" activation?

When you would choose a model to activate, you choose the paralysed model. It forfeits it's action to the paralysed and then you pass back to your opponent. As your model forfeits it's entire activation effects like Poison don't go off.

Thanks for that - what about if a model has Paralyzed and Slow - does slow carry over until the model actually gets to activate or does the forfeited activation wipe the slate clean for slow as well?

My understanding is that you would activate, do nothing, pass activation and slow would fall off as this is the models "next" activation, it doesn't roll over the activation after that. I hope this makes sense

Forfeit activation means just that so all pending effects stay on. Such as slow and poison. A paralyzed model never actually activates.

Ahh yes, I see.

So for example, your model has activated that turn (turn 1) and then is paralyzed and slowed, this would mean that you would miss your next activation (turn 2) and then on the next turn (turn 3) you were slow???

Is that correct :embarasse

From what Ratty says, I think so...I treat slow as an effect much like poison counters and he said that you hold off on dealing with them until Paralyze wears off.

So yeah...Paralyze wears off, on that new activation you're slow, paralyzed...whatever...

Correct. Forfeit means skip (see my sig)
