Jack draw has no wounds and biting chill says cannot bring a model below 1 wound. If I target jack with it does be need to discard a card?

I would say no because biting chill cannot kill. Could be wrong though.

Edit: I was wrong not a huge shocker there.

Jack Daw is still affected by Biting Chill. He has no Wd stat so he can never be reduced to under 1 Wd and thus the restriction on Biting Chill will never come to effect.

Effectively, Biting Chill is an instant kill to Daw, unless you have a card or Soulstone to discard.

Does that mean Biting Chill's Overpower trigger would work and it could be cast again at Jack until either the spell fails or he runs out of cards to discard?

If Jack discards a card/Soulstone, he is not damaged. Therefore Overpower will not trigger.

Man i totally overlooked that.

However, is this the distinction between dg and wds?

He takes 2 dg which is prevented from being applied as wds because 1) he doesn't have any wounds and 2) he discarded a card to not be killed.

So doesn't biting chill technically damage him here?

Seems I was too hasty with my first reply. I checked Jack's rules a second time and according to Undying he does indeed suffer the wounds. They just don't affect him in any way if he discards cards or soulstones.

So yes, you can trigger Overpower against Jack.
