Origin of question stems from a model being struck with Weak Damage from a Rat Catcher's Rat Trap and whether that constitutes as "Damaged" even though no Wds are applied.
Basic argument = Damage versus Wd.
Damage is applied via failing to Defend a Strike and receiving a numeric base that will be applied as Wd after all mitigation is applied.
Both Weapon stats and Rat Trap effect are from the Stat Card.
Rat Trap
Rg::melee 1
Cb: 5
Dg: 0/3/Paralyzed
Weapons
Rat Trap: Models damaged by this Weapon receive one Blight Counter.
QUESTION: Does a model struck by a Rat Catcher receive a Blight Counter even if the Dg is inflicted as no Wd can be generated?

I would think not as to be damaged by something generally means you must take at least 1 Dg from it. Generally 0 of something does not count as being anything of what it is... if that makes sense XD
But I have no rule to point you to for it... just seems like a reading thing.

Models do not count as damaging a model if they do 0Dg so the effect would not be applied.

That's what I was thinking, too.
But my lady occasionally overthinks a few things, so I figured I would take it up with the powers that be. :]

Thank you kindly. :]
Especially for the hasty reply.

Wait.... so you're saying that
a) Rat Catchers have a weapon
and
b) a Rat Catcher somewhere actually used it
mind = blown
:laugh:

Easier way to remember it, is that if you hit a master with a trigger that uses the wording "when damaging...", but said Master uses a Soulstone to prevent all of the Wds, then the trigger doesn't go off.
Based on the discussion last week of the whole 'damage' sequence, it's obvious to me that the use of the word 'damage' typically refers to 'Wd', and not 'Dg'.
