per rising powers new rules pg 35 (Henchman in Master's Crew 3rd bullet statement) a henchman under a master can take a totem of his own... can that henchman use the totem's Companion(master) or Magical extension?

Pro: What is the point of a Totem who can companion or use their core ability when the Henchman is leading but not when they are allowed to still take the totem but have to play 1st mate.

Con: The ability/spell calls for Master, which is fine when Henchman is in charge and thus promoted, but cannot use the ability/spell when legally hired due to the wording.

I have been asking this question around (50/50 thus far) and it seems to be a classic conflict of RaW vs "what would the point be otherwise"... Opinions?

Both Magical Extension and Companion, should be changed to say. connected model. It is a hold over from book 1 where only the Masters could attach them.

so totems have Companion(connected model), and magical extension should say "This spell may be cast only once per activation. Cast one of the connected model's (1) spells. During this casting, this model may use a Soulstone to change its starting total."

Thanks for answering his question. I told him I figured it should be that way too, but it's good to hear this confirmed!
