Leve, totems and brawls

Has it ever been decisively stated whether Leveticus' Brawling partner iss supposed to be denied a totem? I know RAW, what's RAI?

The language of pariah is very important. It says "Crews containing this model can only hire Constructs,Undead,and Soulless models, butmay hire them from any Facion without additional cost. This model cannot hire Totems." The difference between what can be in his crew as opposed to what he specifically can hire is where RAI and RAW are the same. You can hire other masters totems. They just cannot be connected to levi.

Yeah that was what sKeTCH told me, is that the RAI is that Levi should not be able to attach totems, but the rest of the crew can hire them. However the wording is a bit suspect as a model NEVER does hiring. So you either had to read it as 'This model crew may not hire totems', or 'this model may not attach totems' and to be honest they are both about as correct if your talking about RAW.

This is pretty epic news. It means Molly can hire her Necrotic Machine when she's in my Leveticus crew and not have to summon it! Collodi can have it too for some Poison 3 fun I suppose!

Just remember Henchman can't lead Brawl Crews (pg.71 of the RM)

Yeah, this is really good. Because I had picked up Levi, looking forward to playing him with Hoffman or Ramos in a Brawl. Ramos would REALLY suffer without access to either of his totems.

As for Brawls, you just put in Levi as the first Master, and then hire the Henchman second. You could still hire a Totem to go along with the Henchman in that case I think.

Yeah you can still hire henchmen for their SS cost.. they just can't come out of your 2 free masters.

Right. Henchmen aren't considered leaders in Brawls but they can still hire Totems.

I was thinking about picking up Hoffman to run as a Brawl partner for Levi, but without Mechanical Assistant, he didn't seem as good.
