Ok so my buddy was playing Hoffman the other day and we came across some interesting points that kinda confused me, so here we go.
Guardian + Hoffman -> Guardian Casts shield wall giving himself and Hoffman +4 Armor. Hoffman Assimilates the Guardians Armor, does he gain +4, +2 or none at all? (reasoning is that with 2 Guardians Hoffman becomes near unkillable)
Also, does his Empower Talent count toward everything having to do with cast? Talents such as Arcane Hunter, Magic Seeker, or Resisting Magician's Dual. Or is it just a temporary additive when he's casting.

Hoffman can copy armor in 2 ways. If he copy's armor through the ability when he is hit he will get the current armor of the target.
If he gets it the other way he will only get the printed armor as he will not copy the effect only the talent. This is the 0 action.
Sorry no book on hand cant remember the names off top of my head.
He is far from invincible. There are plenty of attacks that bypass armor and he will all ways take one. His D sucks and will get hit all most every attack.

Now if you do it the way i found,
using two guardians:
firstly activate guardian 1, (all) shield wall guardian 2.
(result: guardian 1 armour 4 and guardian 2 armour 6)
secondly activate guardian 2. (all) shield wall guardian 1
(result: guardian 2 armour 8 and guardian 2 armour 8)
and then Hoffman then Assimilates the armour 8 talent from one of the guardians. without anti-armour stuff, your opponent ain't gonna take no more then a wound at a time no matter how good they are.
although this is excessive, you only need armour 4 at best anyway

If Hoffman was in base with both of the guardians, wouldn't he gain +4 then + 4 then assimilate +8 for a total of +16 Armor?

No, one of the abilities specifically says it doesn't stack with other Armor. He can either use Protected by Machines to assume the armor of an adjacent unit (highest is +8 with two Guardians, I think), or he can Assimilate the Armor ability from a neighboring model (best is +2, because it's the actual Talent, not including modifiers), and then the Guardian's Shield Wall can add a +4 to that.
Honestly, I think it's just better to use Assimilate for other things, and then just use Protected by Machines when necessary. Honestly, Armor 4 is more than enough against most attackers.

I don't believe it stacks.
