Got a quick question about Jack Daw that I can't find the answer to. I'm at work and my rulebook is at home, hence I cannot remember specific ability names. Jack has an ability that doesn't let him take damage from sources that aren't magical, spells or focused strikes and it specifically states that ability cannot be removed. However, he also has an ability right after that that states when he takes damage his controller can prevent the damage by discarding a card or soulstone, but it doesn't state that it can be removed.

The question is: Can Zoraida remove his controller's ability to discard stones or cards to prevent wounds via Hex, and if so, does that mean that if he takes a wound he dies immediately?

The rule you are refering to is called Undying and it reads:
When this model suffers one or more WD, it is killed unless the player who hired it discards one Control Card or one Soulstone.

Removing this rule, with Zoraida's Hex, would in fact make Jack Daw unkillable through regular means. He does not have a set number of wounds, so causing wounds on him would do nothing. He would only die through sacrifices or instant killing abilities.

Wow.. Seriously?!

I was absolutely certain that the last clause on The Oldest of Magics was in fact meant to go on Undying, as it caused alot of discussions when Jack Daw was released initially, and that was the ruling back then.

Edit:
Just did a quick search for the thread:

Does this mean that the ruling back then is overwriten as of now?

No, it means I'm an idiot. That ruling stands. I'll revise the above.
