Was the ability to push another model away removed from the new rules?

Which ability? Are you asking about a specific ability or just pushes in general?

In the original book I thought there was like a general (1) ability everyone could do to push another model. It would come in handy with the new Crooked Men wording. Drop a shafted marker next to an enemy then push them.

Wow I just looked and it's not there. I have no idea how I came up with that. Maybe I read it online or something. Either way it looks like I'm wrong.

Don't worry about it. Simple rules like that get mixed up or added in by mistake, especially if you play multiple game systems.

Just remember to try and not remember a rule by memory during a game if there is any doubt.
