Hello!
This came up at the end of an old thread here (http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17525) and the answer was not ruled so I thought I'd make a different thread about it here.
Basically if a model falls back within 4" (I think) of Coppelius it activates Night Stalker and the falling back model takes 4 Wds. My question was what happens if a paralyzed model receives fall back after a failed morale test. We know the model does not move because it is paralyzed, but does it still takes the Wds because of Night Stalker?
I personally would say no, my first reason being that it'd make Coppelius really powerful, ie if the model is already paralyzed, plus has poison 2 then takes another 4 Wds, it'd be a little OTT I think, although I do love Coppelius (but I don't want him overpowered!). Second reason could be fluff-wise: if the model is not running away, Coppelius can't really 'see' it is scared and won't stalk him in the night if you get my drift.
What do you lot think?

Just from some quick thought on this, I believe a Paralyze model would still suffer from Night Stalker and the reason is in the wording of Night Stalker:
"Model's forced to Fall Back after losing a Morale Duel.."
A Paralyzed Model (Page 34 Rules Manual) makes no Fall Back MOVE but they still Fall Back (And thus have to Rally and suffer the penalties etc). So unless the wording on Coppelius has been changed on this ability, you would suffer the Wds from Night Stalker.

I'd agree with Karn on this, for example if you do a disengaging strike on a falling back model it won't move (depending on ranges etc) but is still falling back.
On a side I need to check the working but this could make him more attractive with my Pandora crew than the Teddy I've been running....

There was just some other discussion on this very thing last week. I believe the thread was simply titled "Paralyze?"
Anyways, the ruling was that a Paralyzed model would not make a Falling Back move. And then, the Paralyze and the Rally would basically happen during the same activation.

Well in that thread Keltheos wasn't sure whether the RAI of Coppelius was to trigger Night Stalker on a falling back move only or simply any falling back situation.
Although I do find it quite powerful (well the model is 9ss after all) after re-reading it I agree with Karn explanation, as the ability does not state 'doing a fall back move' but simply 'forced to fall back'.
So you could do Coppelius' melee expert, trigger Slumber, inflicting Paralyze and poison 2. Then do a strike and if you manage to trigger Remove Eye, it's 2Dg and if the model fails morale duel that's another 3 Wds, that's a potential 7 Wds in 2 strikes, gaining an eye counter to summon an Alp. Rather nice ^^ :)
