Question about Neverborn "Stitched Together".

Card states it does not die & remains in play with one wound left. My co-players tell me IF, then after it it reduced to 1 wd and it is "killed" again, it dies in the closing phase.

How exactly is this supposed to work? I'm sure confused.

Does it die or not?

OK everytime it dies it comes back on 1 wounds (this can happen any number of times).

As soon as it dies for the first time an effect goes onto it that means it cannot be buried or sacrificed and dies in the end phase.

Whether or not it has died before, if it dies after it has started it's activation it gains reactivate.

So, from an opponents point of view, don't kill 'em again as they then reactivate :(

It will die. but that will not happen until the closing phase. so 'killing' it again doesn't really do anything because your not actually killing it.

Now when I play mine, if the Stitched happens to die a second time due its own actions, Gamble your life, what happens then? Will its current activation end?

Basically the best time to kill them is before they have activated. If you kill them then, they do not gain Reactivate because they have not activated yet. But if you kill them after, they will get another activation.

The good thing is that you can only get Reactivate once per turn =) so at least you can't cause them to activate over and over and over again.

My understanding is that if it is killed, it will be left at 1 Wd and continue its current activation. The model remains in play with 1 Wd so I see no reason it's activation would end.

Basically it works like this:

If Stitched Together Dies, it remains in play with 1Wd and continues its current activation if it was activating.
If it had already activated this turn (or is activating) it gains Reactivate. NOTE: If you have already had Reactivate this turn, you can not get it again.
During the Closing Phase it is finally Sacrificed. It actually doesn't die, it literally can't be killed, it is Sacrificed.

The way around Does Not Die is to Sacrifice Stitched Together and in that case, Does Not Die does not kick in because Sacrificing a model is not Killing the model.

Wouldn't killing a model end it's activation? I would think at that point the stitched would gain reactivate as it would have counted as having already activated that turn since it's death ended it's activation.

If killing it does not end it's activation and it continues it's current activation, does it then get reactivate after finishing it's current activation or is it not considered "activated" as it hasn't finished it's activation.

TLDR; what is the definition of "activated" and does killing a model does end it's activation.

killing it during its activation doesn't kill it because it doesn't die. if it has yet to go this turn and it dies due to gamble your life or whatever, it can finish its activation and then will receive reactivate.

your opponent's best move now is to ignore it or run away because nothing it does will stop it from reactivating. however you can only reactivate once. trying to kill it again is a wasted action because it will change nothing.

getting killed does not end it's activation, it can just carry on with the remainder of it's AP.
