That Nekima is just fantastic. Love the extra section to the legs, though not sure how long the wings will last when transported. Will have to get that model (even though I don't play Neverborn) just to put out when I'm demoing!

Love the spinning pictures of Nekima, not too crazy on the model though. Can't place what exactly is putting me off though but some of it has to do with the wings looking far too massive for her body. Oh well great work either way can't wait for more pics.

If you add a clamshell of Stitched Togethers then it's 27ss (similar to adding a peacekeeper to Hoffman) or you can but another clamshell of wicked dolls and add 9ss to your force. And then there are those who add him to a Zoraido crew anyway.

Now Miss Pack has decimated my wallet further! I considered selling her, but ended up keeping her, because quite frankly she's a fantastic model. Of course I didn't have a Ressy crew, but I always wanted Mcmourning, so I got him, and of then both packs of zombie dogs and his totem.

Now I find out I'm buying some guild autopsy and some new bases as well! :)

Sure it is, but Som'er has a Cache of 0 so can bring up to 8SS (although you probably wouldn't want to) which brings him closer to a 25SS game without burning stones on nothing.

Collodi can't add anything to his already high Cache so in that sense he'll be the lowest point starter box.


Note that I'm not really trying to imply that it's unlikely his box will be Collodi, 4x Marionettes, 3x Wickeds - In fact I do indeed expect that this is what'll be in it.

Well the Battlefoam bags are customisable. You can get foam cut to exactly the size you need.

Actually, it totals 10SS because of Collidi's Henchman reserve.

I'm actually surprised to see Collidi this early. Given the above I figured we'd at least have to wait for some more expensive puppets from the next book (hopefully) before seeing his box.

Other than that, my only complaint is that the box doesn't come with an alternate sculpt Stitched Together. :D

Yes, but Collodi is a Henchman, meaning he can hire more ss in a 25ss game, so he has faaaar less points utilized than any other box atm (Von Schill's box has 26ss and his Henchman cache is 4 so it's perfect).

Although, I guess since Collodi's box is pretty cheap, you could buy a pack of Stitched to go with it and it would be about the same price as a more expensive box (i.e. Levi, Hamelin, Kirai, etc).

With Gencon (and presumably Book 3 & Puppet Wars) in August, That leaves July for whatever remaining book 2 releases they can put together. At a guess that probably means;
- A single Henchman Box (either Molly or Kaeris) with their associated special forces,
- The Young Lacroix (the only release likely to be in a clamshell, rather than a henchman box or a small box),
- And 1-2 of either the Mech Rider, Ashes & Dust, or Pigapault.

At this point Molly doesn't have the minions available for a proper Henchman box of her own (unless they throw in a new rotten belle sculpt, although 4 models at 16SS is pushing it), but keep in mind it's possible that Wyrd will put some book 3 minions into her box as an early release (much like when Jack Daw was released a few months before book 2).

Oh I know this. As I said I will still buy it. I sometimes wonder how they set their pricing and I have reached the conclusion that it has to to with a esoteric formula combining mostly their cost with some obscure awesome factor determined by the model.

Henchman #: This is the Henchman Reserve. Henchmen leading Crews add the number (#) listed to their available Soulstones when hiring Crews (see Hiring, p.70). The Henchman # is also the maximum starting size of the Soulstone Pool if this model leads the Crew.
So in a 25 Soulstone game, Collodi can have 32 stones to hire models with but cannot have more than 7 Stones in his Pool after hiring.

At the end of the day after purchasing Collodi's Box Set you could spend an additional 15 points on models to play a 25 point game. (or 25 points to play a 35 point game, etc.) So from an accounting perspective he should be figured to cost -7 rather than adding to the total cost of the list.

It's never seemed like Wyrd priced boxed sets based on SS cost to me. My LGS group and I always figured they based it on things like material, and mold making costs.

Regardless of the dollar cost I'm pretty excited about this boxed set!

Even if you assume that Collodi is leading the Crew:

Collodi - 0SS
4 Marionettes: 8 SS
3 Wicked Dolls: 9 SS

Now you need 8 SS worth of models to get to a 25SS Crew.

Just like if you had a Lady J box:

Lady J - 0SS
3 Death Marshals: 12 SS
Judge: 7 SS

Now you need 6 SS worth of models to get to a 25SS Crew.

The Henchman Reserve isn't negative points; it's your Cache that you can spend on hiring more models for your crew, unlike your master's traditional SS Cache.

Quite a few of us are waiting on things. I'm psyched we will finally be getting the Mobile Toolkit in July, since I've been proxying it constantly since last August. I'm also waiting impatiently for Kaeris. So, you're not alone. With the first book of models, the last one didn't release until about 14 months after the book was released. In this case, the Pigapult is likely a pretty complex model, and so I suspect it will be one of the last ones to be released. But rest assured, if they put it in the book, I'm positive it will be coming along at some point. In the meantime, just proxy something. Build something out of balsa to tide you over. ;)

Psyched about the Morgue Bases & the Guild Autopsy as I'm finishing the paints on my McMourning Box.
I love the 50mm base. Its vexing though as its perfect for the Flesh Construct save that hes on a 40mm. Makes me wonder what Rezzers are getting in book 3!!!

Love the Collodi and Marionettes. all that relating box price to SS is giving me a headache. That doesn't account for boxes with summoned only models like:
• Kirai's Ikyro($43 box / 19 SS)
• The Dreamer's LCB ($41 box / 19 SS)
I always saw boxes as merely a discount off buying the clamshells or based of # of modes and scale of models excepting Leviticus as you can spend 1 more dollar buying the clamshells and get 1 extra Hollow Waif.

OOps! For some reason I thought the Steampunk Abominations were in a 4 pack. I should have known better.
So that leaves Desolate & Souless box ($45) saving you $5.00 and netting you the unique sculpt of the Hollow Waif.
Buying the clamshells would cost $50, an extra $5 but getting two Hollow Waifs instead of the single uniques sculpt.

So pretty much a box is only to save $5-$7 and lets not forget about Miss Pack being found randomly in any crew box either.
