I wasn't sure what to expect from the rats, but I'm pleasantly surprised. They have a ton of character, way more than I had anticipated.

Hamelin himself, I dig. If I'm comparing the two ... I honestly prefer the original Hamelin; but that's to be expected. Original Hamelin is one of my favorite minis in the range.

Nix is super win.

Stolen, very nice. It didn't occur to me that they were children, but it makes sense considering Hamelin's historical origins.

Also, I like the purple glow you've carried through all the Hamelin-related models. Very nice.

Hats, nice. Guns, neat. Dove, cool. Sarge, sweet. Book, gimme. Overall, a good crop. Thanks, Wyrd!

Doves are nothing less than amazing. Quite inspiring sculpts for what they are!

Nix is also very good and I like the rats and stolen alot aswell, Hamelin doesn't have a very sinister feel to him though, but that might be the paint job.. I'll have to go for a darker one.

But hey! He's here at last -The most awaited master from Book2 :D and the Manual at the same time? Oh boy, expensive month :P


Also.. What are the contents of the Hamelin box? I'm guessing it's what we're seeing here, but that'd make it the first one with 8 models in it?

The bases for the Hamelin related pieces are just absolutely astounding. I've been trying out some things on lighting effects, and mine still look no where near that cool. Very impressive.

VERY excited to see the doves. They look awesome. Love them coming out of the hat and so forth. Can't wait to get them and put my proxies away. :)

LOVE Nix, the Rats and Stolen, not so keen on Hamelin. I think I actually prefer the "minion" Hamelin. Maybe a different paintjob would make him look more dastardly. I was going to avoid more Malifaux stuff ( my collection's almost rivaling my Cryx army, which is pretty big!) but I think Hamelin might find his way into my grubby, paint-laden mitts :D.

The Doves are awesome too, I especially like the one coming out of the hat. If Collette wasn't so popular around here already I'd snap her up in a heartbeat.

Nix looks spectacular. The lighting effects on all the models are amazing. As others, just love the dove coming out of the hat with the cards.

NIX IS OMG! Hamelin is cool IMO, just the darker pallete would help a lot!
I'd certainly paint him much darker... Stolen are awesome.
Rats are glorious, I've come prepared and bought from local GW gamers plastic GW giant rats. It'll be great to have it all in early march, as it is the time of our largest tournament in area. I'm going to organize a side tour of Malifaux, and give a Hamelin box for first prize. Not bad for free tournament?

Thanks Wyrd for this releases, I think that more and more people are thrilled by the minis quality. I'm going to buy everything from feb releases. Just keep that way.

Plastics are just easier to convert. So much easier. I guess with a game like Malifaux customization isn't really a necessity, but... well, I still enjoy doing it.

Why do I get the feeling I'm going to end up with a huge swarm of undead dogs. I've just finished painting 2 canine remains which are amazing sculpts.. But did they have to be so anatomically correct, there is something wrong about getting out a fine detail brush to paint a dead dogs derrière.

I find something it bit strange about the new Hamelin sculpt. I remember a thread from probably 2 years ago or so, with Nathan stating he wanted to redo the Hamelin sculpt because it was one of his least, if not THE least, favorite sculpt in the whole Wyrd.

The Hamelin picture all over Rising Powers looks dope as hell and was the biggest reason I read his story, which just made him the sickest master in the game.
Until the balance issues kicked in and my gaming group unanimously decided we shouldn't play him until his V2/V3 is released.
But that Sculpt... It just doesn't do him any evil justice, I must say.
Perhaps its the lighting and whatnot.

In all honesty those Rats are epic.
Its just straight beastly.
And says a lot for Wyrd.
In that they can add personality to mundane rats.
Must say, 10/10.

I'm digging the Stolen for sure, they look hopeless and sad in the good way, I'm loving it.

Nix looks like a really beast model to paint.

100% picking up that box.
Hopefully Hamelin gets fixed in the new RM so I can actually play him, though.

well the book also says he can hire hight 1, and insignificant models so thats fine. They don't have to be all three, just one of the suggested :)

I'm fairly certain the entire trait line is wrong on his Totem.. The fact that it doesn't say it's a totem is a pretty good indication on this ;)

Yeah, waiting lose loooong spans for one thing can be a pain (I've been waiting for so long for CB to release certaini Infinity mini's I can't even remember what they are anymore).

Oddly enough, our LGS has been checking with their distributors, and nothing is even showing up in the distributors' systems yet either. I've been trying to make sure I get an order in for the Doves and the Rulebook. So we'll see. Perhaps things are still seeing a bit of delay from the winter storms and such. I know some areas in the Northeast got over a foot of snow in the last day or so.

Yeah that's what my LGC keeps telling me about Ryle and the rest of the Jan releases...that the distributors haven't received them yet. Yet...they just got the rules manual in yesterday (which is f**king awesome by the way) but still no Jan releases...wtf.:dontknow:
