Hello,
I'm a new Malifaux player and I was thinking of starting with the Order of the chimera crew
Now my question is what is good about this crew and what is less good
I already play a few tabletop games like Warhammer 40K an Warhammer Fantasy, but this is a totally other game.
And also witch models should I add to this crew to have a fully functional "army" (if you can name it like this)

Marcus is a hard Master to start with, he's not as straight forward as he looks. he's also not the best crew right out of the box, you probably will need to add some more creatures to the mix.
Best thing to do is to read through the Tactica: Marcus thread in the Arcanist forum, also might be worth asking in that forum which models it's best to get to start with.

Marcus is tricky to use. He can cover the board faster than almost any other master. He can hit almost as hard as any other master and he can take a hit almost as well as any other master, but typically he can only do one of the three things, and only after he has activated.
The cerberus and the rattler can both be very in your face with little effort. I personally like them for this fact, and probably also because my reagular foe has a ranged heavy guild crew and I'm generaly having a longer charge than he has shot.
But they are both fragile and so don't do a huge amount if they face melee heavy armies.
I can't get Myranda at the moment. She is too utility and not quite good enough in any of the roles. But the arrival of more beasts makes her casting spells from other beasts a lot better.
Common addiitions - Molemen lots of armour, cheap, but slow. If your opponent ignores armour, then these are not going to last long.
Silurids - Fast and hard hitting. You will need at least two, and I like using three to cover for the death of one. at which point you're looking at 15 soulstone.
Waldegiest - Never used yet, but look like they would work well.
New from book two
Shikome- a hard fast and very killy beast. Looks to be very strong. can't wait to try it
Lawyer - Spellcasting and support. Should work well with Myranda as he has plenty of one spells for her to cast.
Rogue necromancy - Big and strong. The beast beatstick from the looks of it.
What you take depends on what you want to achieve. You can use the silurids and the cerberus leaping all over the board. or molemen and waldigiest and be slower and more tank like.
Shikome will make your killing very much precise, picking off the vital parts of their forces one at a time.
hope this provides some help

more new from book two:
the Malifaux Raptor: a 2 soulstone model. Very fast, he can place cards from the enemy's discard pile back to the top of the deck, as well as make other enemy models gain the beast characteristic (which can combo with some of marcus' stuff).
He is insignificant, so no objectives for him, but loses that characteristic if there 2 or more raptors within 3" of him (At which point you are looking at 6 soulstones minimum).
Night Terror: 3 soulstone model. One of his spells is a bubble that gives -4 range to models (considering the lack of range of the beasts, I can really see the benefits of that).
Haven't tried the new beasts much though. He was my first master, and he is though to start with. I'd say the new book added a lot of new toys for Marcus that I still need to play with. I also really enjoy the fluff and the beasts models.
In the first book, the silurids were your best bet, and I also really enjoyed the cerberus and the jackalope (the totem is awesome, it looks great and keeps coming back when it dies).
In the new book, I'm really excited about the shikome iwth Single Minded and Hunting Partner. The Malifaux Raptors could be great to grab objectives (8" wk!) as long as you have a pack.

The above posts have pretty much covered the basics. I've only played one game with Marcus thus far but I've had plenty of experience with Neverborn (ie. Silurids and Waldgeists).
You should definitely get a Jackalope, and IMO the Silurids are fantastic for Marcus and fulfilling strategies/schemes in general. They're a fragile minion, but are quite capable of making hit & run attacks on your opponent while keeping out of reach. Honestly, I'd make Silurids and a Jackalope your first purchases after the starter.
The Waldgeist makes for a rather tough minion who's very useful against exploding models like gamlin and witchling stalkers. He's even better with some forests around, being able to move them as mobile cover and beat other models over the head with them. As far as beasts go he's definitely a minion you'll want to get at some point.
Of the starter minions, the Cerebrus has great damage output and the Rattler seems decent for it's great charge range. I'm really not sure about Myranda though - she just doesn't seem to be all that great so you might need to ask someone who's used her more than I.
