I am new to the game, and I have recently bought both the Pandora and Lilith starters. I have played one game, with Lilith as my master. My army consisted of Lilith, Ganger, 2x Terror Tot and 1x Mature Nephilim. While I did not know what I was doing, I liked how the ganger felt in my army. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to maximize the ganger's abilities in a Lilith army? Also I understand that the doppleganger will use mimic different abilities based on the army I am fighting, but I was wondering if there are some strategies I could use early game, before reaching the enemy?

The only thing I can think of is copy fast, and maybe earthquake to help move the army faster. And if you get surrounded maybe whirlwind if need be.
Doppler is so versatile that "standard" strats can't really be listed, even master-specific.
I'll say this, if you're running Neph-heavy Lil lists, the following sound fun:
Black Blood: especially if you think Doppler is about to get meleed. It might even make someone think twice. Might.
Flay: If you're about to melee. The potential extra damage could mean the difference between a wounded model and a dead model.
Drain Blood: Mimicing this is tricky business. You have to be able to be certain you can kill a model on Doppler's dmg track and keep the second (Instinctual) (0) Action available to actually drain the blood.
Diving Attack: Situationally useful (as in, I got 5 enemy models between Doppler and model I want dead/wounded/occupied)
I guess for laughs you might try Mimicing Grow or Mature if you have the cards and counters, although I'd search the rules forums first.
Don't forget Use Soulstiones: It will let Doppler do all kinds of fun stuff for the turn.

If you really want to have fun with a Ganger, use her in a LCB crew and mimic between Dreamer and LCB's Abilities and Attacks. I have made many the opponent sweat their butts of when I can deal that much damage. Word of advice: Remember that as long as she is alive your opponent is always at a negative initiative flip.

Mimic
Add to end of first paragraph: “Effects that reference a model by name cannot be Mimicked.”
Terror Tot Nephilim
Grow
Replace description with: This model, or 1 friendly
Nephilim within 6”, discards 1 Blood Counter, sacrifice this
model. Replace this model with a Young Nephilim before it
is removed from play.”
Young Nephilim
Mature
Replace description with: “This model, or 1 friendly
Nephilim within 6”, discards 2 Blood Counter, sacrifice this
model. Replace this model with a Mature Nephilim before
it is removed from play.”
If you have Nekima you could Mimmic her Nephilim Heart to provide masks to Nekima's Cb stat. Nekima can't do this to herself becuase pulses don't effect the one generating the pulse unless the description says otherwise.

MrNybbles, are you sure that 'Ganger can't mimic grow, because Teror Tot isn't mentioned in grow, or young in Mature?

One thing you should never underestimate is the doppelganger's defensive abilities.
Copy Lilith's defense, copy a defensive talent, then go into defensive stance next to their most important guys.
Last game I played with the Doppelganger, it spent 4 or 5 turns copying Perdita's defense, her stubborn for Wp resists, healing itself, and then standing next to Perdita in defensive stance making her waste time. Perdita had to spend a lot of her actions getting the Doppelganger away.
Also, always be on the look out for opponents with (+2) Melee Master. I've copied the sabertooth tiger's melee master and teddy's damage and then attacked 4 times. It can get pretty disgusting.
In addition, remember that copying the weapon not only copies the damage, but it also copies the weapons abilities. So copying Lilith's sword also copies the + flip she has for damage.

Why not copy her Immune to Influence..? Humm..
Also Perdita could just run away from it..? :/
I was going to suggest copying Liliths Df aswell though.
Thing with Dopple is that it have great (great!) adaptability, but it's also very weak.
I'd try to always get some sort of defensive ability and then a supportive spell or ability, unless the odd chance (as Nattys Melee Master + Teddy Dg-output) occurs.
Also, you might want to activate it early during the turn.. Before the enemy had a chance to mutilate it..

.I do see your point about the errata on Mimic, although the spell description for Grow and mature specifically state "this model", not referencing "this Terror Tot" or "this Young Nephilim".
Last I checked, "this model" specifically references the model performing the given action.
In all fairness, given the versatility of a Doppler, it now seems a bit foolish to Grow one to a Young neph, and even Maturing one to a Mature Neph might be questionable.

Because my Doppelganger was standing on her objective.
But in general, not counting standing on objectives, no one can shoot if you are standing next to them (or they can only shoot you with gunfighter), so standing in the middle of the ortegas is a good plan, and also you still get disengaging strikes and make them waste an action to move away from you.

...but it says to replace the model with a mature/young nephilim. So the first part of the sentence may say "this model" but the later part names the mature/young nephilim so the ability can't be copied.

with Teddy or Kade, the doppleganger can copy some nasty moves...
