Dilemma with an idea...

Not exactly that smart in the end, but a dilemma nonetheless!

I was thinking about starting a third crew in the next days, but i wanted to go for a certain theme... The HELSING anime!

I love the anime as Alucard totally rocks and I always wanted to play something like him in a skirmish game...

So what is the plan...

I want to get the Lady Justice Box, as it contains the coolest minis and they all kinda fit the image!

Justice would be Integra Wingates Helsing, the bosses of the organisation, the judge would go for pater Anderson (he already has that insane look and the sword), even though anderson is more a rival/enemy of alucard, they both share the mad wish to destroy their enemies... whilest the death marshalls would be Alucard who appears in several places at the same time using his insane skilledness! The stuff emanating from the coffins would represent his "black hound" and therefore be painted dark and covered with eyes *creepy* the marshals get the red duster and hat with white gloves like Alucard wears them.

That's the plan on the minis I know how to use in the theme...

Now the dilemma is the second most stylish character in the story! Seras Victoria (at least it's her name in the german version), the police girl!
A Vampire like Alucard, though not as powerful as her master at first she carries the insanely powerful weapon HARKONNEN (somewhat like a sniper rifle-bazooka-crossover).
And totally have no idea how to put her up in the crew... As a Mini i could imagine to use a slight conversion of a warmachine warcaster (Kara Sloan) who matches the hair style and the sniper rifle, her clothes of course don't fit too well... Seras has a pretty short skirt and the police uniform, Kara has some kind of longer skirt and the power armor :/
I would survive the missing sight of her legs and should be able to reduce the visible armor to a minimum.

But maybe somebody knows a miniature that would fit better? I'm totally open for solutions here!

The other problem is: What rules to choose for her?
The Malifaux charakter that could come pretty close to what i expect her to be in the game would be rusty alice, but I can't play her because she needs a scavenger master :(

Hmm... don´t know the anime but when i´m reading about a sniper ... hey that is Nino oder Hans... (form the rules)... :)

There's also the Freikorps sniper.. Or Ryle.

Depending on what part of the story you're taking her from I think I'd go with Ryle or maybe Niño.

Question though: Do you watch Hellsing or Hellsing OVA? Or read the Manga?

OVA is sooo much better than the first anime (imo) and actually follows the manga, it's still not finished though (taking their time :@).

Although I must say that the OST from the first anime is by far my favourite soundtrack ever and is the only one I listen to frequently.


Second thoughts: If you take Seras from the first anime, then I'd definetly go with Niño.

For Seras I would use Han's as the base idea but try to find a female body that you can rig that massive gun up to. It would fit her ranged weapon the most but really wouldn't represent that she is a Vampire, but you didn't get that most of the time any way.

Hellsing Ultimate is the way to go (I think that's the OVA), its much better then the Manga and the anime I feel. *nods* Muuucchhh more blood and a more interesting and longer story.

I'm not sure on a figure to use but it could be an Austringer... the variations in range and the fact she can sit back and provide cover.

My problem with the original Hellsing Anime is it was clearly written before much of the Manga was out so after the first few stories it went and did its own thing(with the 3 eyed Egyptian vampire guy). Which meant no Nazi Vampires like the Manga or OVA series.

Well to answer the question on the anime/manga, I got them all and love every piece of it.
As I'm German there are always problems with the nazis and such, but they just are the perfect Bad Guys in every time it seems :D

I have so far decided on the miniature to take Kara Sloan http://privateerpress.com/files/products/Captain-Sloan.png
I'll try to remove most of her armor parts and make it look a bit more like the original uniform... though I already put up masks (like the judge has one) to the death marshals, but that's just to help alucard stay in the sun (as he actually sasy in the manga: "I don't fear sunlight, I just hate it"). I have a Kara already for my cygnar army, so i'll have to get another one next week (or I'll have to saw that primed mini...)

Thanks for the hints! I still need to get the new book so I don'nt know the profiles of the newer minis, but Hans and Nino were in my list as well.

I'd still rather go with Alice, but she can't be hired by Lady Justice (as LJ is no scavenger) :(

Edit:
Now as i read a bit through the Guild faction a bit more I found that Samael Hopkins has a profile that might fit her as well.
His Arrest and Snare Spells, just like the Triggers he comes up with are a nice way to represent her vampiric skills (as they could be used as the blood-manifestation which she gets after losing her arm at the end of the manga).
