Just a simple question....

Why does Photobucket keep shrinking my pictures?

I've noticed that it's done this a couple of time now, that the image on the screen isn't as big as my original, and in one case, it really blurred it up. Right now I'm using the free service, and I'm considering upgrading to a paid account, but will that fix it? I don't want to pay $$ if it's going to keep screwing with my pictures like that.

Anybody know anything about it?

How large are your photos? Both in dimensions and file size... I haven't had any problems, but I tend to keep my pictures small (around 150-200 k, maximum...)

Check your uploading options, it's below the bit you use to upload picture files from your computer.

If the pictures you are uploading are not jeg format, then photobucket will convert them and you will loose size and quality.

Under the "Upload Images & Videos" box there is "Uploading Options" Click on that.
It will then have "Max Image size". Choose the "1 Megabyte File Size" option.
No more problems!

I used photobucket and love it. Paid for version lets you put your images fairly large and I think as big file wise as you want. If you go over their free size they will resize automatialy.

You can go up to 1meg using the free version. Not likely to need more than that.

See, they shrunk it! And what's worse, when I look at it in my PB album, it's blurry. Here's a screenshot (I only cropped it, not resized it to keep the filesize small):

Ok, that is odd. I'm here at my work computer and they do appear the same size...

So why on my home computer to they appear different??????

At least the pixelization is still visible is the 3rd pic so I don't sound completely crazy... :(

I reckon your monitor is going mental aswell!

But yea, the last pic is pixelated and full of artifacts.

Have you checked what size files you have allowed?
