EricJ

I eventually got them all, 19 was the hardest I think...but I'm not telling ;)

Although, on my first pass I actually got 13 also!

19 was tough....i knew what it was, but couldn't remember the damn name! Thanks Internet for helping me!

Problem is you have to get the exact name right (forgot the damn "the" once and misspelled another...) . I only have 9 so far (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, 17 and 20)

Malebolgia
10-25-2006, 12:53 PM
13...and going...some are difficult!
I don't get the one being run over by a truck and the one with the people in the water and some on the rope/buildings

EDIT
Got the one with the truck, but I don't see why :D

Pictures left:
5,9,10,11,16,19

EricJ

yeah, 19 is tough, I vaguely remembered it, but kept on typing in the wrong movies

10 so far, and I am realllly bad at remembering movie names, so some look familiar but I can't place a name to them. It's kinda driving me crazy *shakes fist at Eric for showing me this!* :P

EricJ
10-25-2006, 01:24 PM
just so you don't hate me, I'll warn you now, it's really anti-climactic when you get them all, it just enters you for some dumb drawing (if you give them all your contact info). So it's more about the game than the winning :)

As for 9, a hint it to look at the colors :)

vincegamer
10-25-2006, 01:44 PM
I got number 19 on the first try and was very surprised.
Of course, several options could have worked - possibly even Happy Gilmore.

three left now...number 9,11,16
How could you not get #16?
That's one of the most quoted movies around - at least in my circle. The line they are referencing in particular.

You'll get 11 soon. You have to.

The ones I haven't gotten are 2, 6, 8, 9, 14 & 15

Queeny
10-25-2006, 02:31 PM
15 now. haven't got 9, 14, 16, 17, & 19

Having never seen #2, i would never have gotten it without internet assistance.

heh, scratch 10 off my list. :D

Woot got #8 now too

Ok...who wants to match answers? I am missing these....

5,9,10 and 14

I'll trade for any that I do have via PM!!

EDIT doh! just got 2

I was thinking Ocean's Eleven...and then Ocean's Twelve because of the "Volume II" thing at the top...but alas...
*Keeps pondering...*

You're over-thinking it. And getting confused by the "II".

Can someone give me a hint about 15 though?
I can think of several movies with line-ups but nothing is working.

Oh, I just got 6. I finally figured out what the one on the left is supposed to be.

EricJ
10-25-2006, 03:55 PM
15 was one I got on first try. Lets see, what hint can I give. It does definately have a police lineup in it, and it's actually just about the first scene in the movie, or right at the beginning.

Vike, for #5, the hat is the giveaway, my problem was just typing the entire title correctly

I agree about 16 also, it's a classic movie moment!

supervike
10-25-2006, 04:17 PM
AH! Thanks for the hint on 5.

I thought that was a finish line, not a rickety bridge...

The movie was made in the mid-90's.....borrows its title from a famous line in a classic Bogart movie.

Duende

Dammit Eric! You are evil for finding this!

I can only get 13 of them. Still can't figure out 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 14 or 19. And they're probably so obvious I could kick myself.

Hints anyone??

supervike
10-25-2006, 04:27 PM
Only 2 left for me!!

9 and 14.

Hint for number 1....Sci Fi movie....

vincegamer
10-25-2006, 04:43 PM
Thanks, Jim. The Bogart clue gave it to me. I never saw movie #15, but I remember hearing the title.
Actually, that's true for most of them.

Duende:
I'd love to give you a hint for #2 but I'm clueless about that one.
Can't get 8 either.
Stumped on 9 as well. :-(

10 should be easy if you think about the position the man's hands are in.

14 I'm drawing a blank on too.

19 you either know it or you don't really. Hinty hinty hint.... Eegah! I already gave a hint with the Happy Gilmore comment, but perhaps that's too vague. (actually I made an even more vague hint in that last sentence!)
[edit] don't mind me, I'm just one of the happy breed.

EricJ
10-25-2006, 04:49 PM
@ Duende but admit it, it is pretty fun! :)

Hint for #9 - the colors of the pens represent people

For #10 - you can see that floor on the cover and movie poster

14 - is probably one of the most inaccurate ones imo - but look how the human figure is represented.

Duende
10-25-2006, 04:50 PM
Thanks for the help, Vike! Now I'm stuck on the same ones you are!

Gah!

Why does 14 seem like it should be so obvious??!!

*Edit* tried Maximum Overdrive, but that wasn't it. :(

Okay, any cool hints for 11 and 16? I really don't see them :(

Queeny
10-25-2006, 05:01 PM
Gah finally got 14! Stupid 14.. hates the 14. Just had to look at the figure for a while and think about movies that would have a person made like that.

#11 - once you figure out what all those little things are.. you'll have the title.

#16 - not a clue. Still haven't figured that one out. Keep wanting it to be Clockwork Orange, but no matter how I type that in it doesn't work :(

vincegamer
10-25-2006, 05:27 PM
16 is quite literally a quote from the movie.
Think - what is it, and what does it do?

EricJ
10-25-2006, 05:29 PM
#11 - basically the same clue I was going to give

#16 - I guess this one is either increadibly obvious if you've seen the movie, or if you haven't sort of impossible. Since talking about being able to turn the nob up to 11 is a classic scene

Malebolgia
10-25-2006, 05:32 PM
Okay, thanks! I did not see the movie, so I couldn't have guessed it...but your hint let me find it anyway with some creative googling :)

That makes 20! *happy dance!*

Duende
10-25-2006, 05:43 PM
Geez, 11 and 16 the like the first two I got!

I still can't get 9 & 14. Maybe I just didn't see those movies.

DAMN!!!!

*EDIT* OK I got 14, I did have it right once before, but spelled it wrong. Stupid spelling, stupid "the"s!!

Queeny
10-25-2006, 05:59 PM
Finally got 16. I've seen the movie once, quite some time ago. Like Malebolgia says, creative googling found it for me.

Only 3 left: 9, 17, and 19. I can't really see what #17 is in the picture anyway, man i need new glasses :(

Duende
10-25-2006, 06:08 PM
I can't really see what #17 is in the picture anyway, man i need new glasses :(

Imagine that whatever #17 is, you're looking at it from the front, straight-on. That may help.

SOMEBODY help me with #9! I can't go paint my Harvest entry until I figure it out. A bunch of different-colored people standing in the middle of the road? That's not ringing any bells here..

 :motz:

Hey I can give a hint on that one I think ... I'll just say canine!

Wren
10-25-2006, 09:56 PM
My husband and I working together have made it to 18/20, but we seemed to be stumped on a couple that people aren't mentioning as much. Can anyone give a clue to point us in the direction of 8 and 18?

Duende
10-25-2006, 10:05 PM
Wren-

8 - Something you don't want in your swimming pool.

18 - a country and an adjective

vincegamer
10-25-2006, 10:31 PM
Okay, the canine clue gave me #9, but I was just guessing. I never saw it and know nothing about except who directed it, and that's enough to make me not see it.

18 I had to do some google image searches until I found the pic because I remembered it from the poster, but I would never have remembered the name.

I still need clues on 2, 8 and 14

[edit] okay, I got 8. It was what I thought originally, but I misspelled it. Apparently enough people misspell it the way I did that it shows up on Google without any comment that the spelling is wrong.

[edit 2] I just got 2. Don't know why, but it just suddenly hit me. I guess I started thinking about what the black book could represent then rememberd who daniel was.

Wren
10-25-2006, 10:40 PM
We got 18 just before I came on and saw your clue. 8 my husband claims to have had previously but misspelled, but I think your clue gave it to him. He had to give it to me, and I still don't think it's nearly so prominent a movie as the others. Thanks bunches for the help, now we can sleep in peace!

Akenmaat
10-26-2006, 02:03 AM
I got 11 of them in about 30 mins, and my husband helped with six more of them, but we're still stuck on 2, 8, and 15 even after all the clues so far. *sigh*

vincegamer
10-26-2006, 07:16 AM
2 - if you haven't seen the movie, there's no way in h e double hocky sticks you'll get it.
But if you have seen the movie then you'll know that if Staples sold underwear they would have just had to show a big pair of "granny panties".

15 I haven't seen but got it because someone said it's a line from a Bogart movie.
It's not a line Bogart says though, or even a line said to him, though he is in the scene were the guy in uniform says it to the other guy in uniform.

I have't seen #2, but that clue gave it to me since I remember seeing a trailer for it. That was the one that I just couldn't get.

That was fun.

Finally got them all last night. My hubby and I sat together. I just couldn't make #17 look like anything that made sense to me. He finally said, well, it looks like that guy is going to jump off something. That's when I figured out what the picture was supposed to be :D

#14 really isn't that obvious. I got it mostly by chance... It was the first film where someone or something got crushed that came to mind.

vincegamer
11-02-2006, 02:21 PM
for me that was austin powers international man of mystery, but it did't work.
Then I thought throw momma from the train but no go.
The only other crushing I can think of is every episode of Mr. Bill.

Ritual
11-02-2006, 02:32 PM
The thing that got crushed is also the title of the film.
