Ok, yes, I should be able to figure this out by myself, but it seems to be vexing me.

I tried giving the URL for my avatar, but I get back the "avatar too big" error message. Is it talking about pixels or file size? Can't seem to find the "what is acceptable" information anywhere.

I'm also a little confused since I'm used to the size of avatars that are linked to by URL being irrelevant since it just shows the image instead of uploading it to a local system... but whatever.

How do I make this work, please? Thanks for patience and help.

The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

As I haven't ever played with the linking to be honest, I would say that it is probably larger than the 80x80 and would need to fit within that category. You can also upload it directly if you wish.

Ahhh... it's 80 x 80, but 23k. I'll adjust it.
