Just to start off, I am a long time lurker, first time poster, so hello everyone.

I was not sure where to ask this, since it is kind of a painting/ modeling question, but I could also pose it to the community here in the sub-forum.

For Rasputina, what are people using for their Ice Pillars? I am at a loss for the time being and think it would be nice to make something up to represent them.

Ideally I am lookign for any inspiration right now, since my only idea was to get a few rocks, such as quartz, and try to shine it up, or dull it down to resemble ice.

Thanks for any help!

There's a thread on this with a variety of responses in the Miniature Matters forum. People have been using everything from quartz to standard painted foam. Senji has done some VERY nice ones in resin, which I'm looking at trying to do, but he's been promising a tutorial for more than a year :D

The mold making is a bit trickier than I'd expected, and I've put it down for the moment, but hope to try again here soon.

Thanks for the quick reply! And of course I completley missed that thread. I will have to go through all of it.

Thanks again
