Hello Wyrd!

This question is actually for the 'dark powers-that-be' for Wyrd games. What are the chances of you guys setting up a booth this year at Kubla Con in San Francisco? What would it take to get the Wyrd team to make the trip out to S.F. to spread the Wyrd and Malifaux love to one and all ont he west coast?

I am a fan and would love to see Wyrd come west!

For those who are on the west coast or just looking for a great Con offering a lot of great fun and gaming, I've included my brief 2 cents about my favorite Con below.

In years past, GDLA has been a great opportunity for the West Coast painting community to gather and talk shop. Sadly, with the cancellation of GDLA it looked like an opportunity to meet, greet, and talk shop might not be possible this year.

HOWEVER! KublaCon http://www.kublacon.com/ (http://www.kublacon.com/) is celebrating it's 10th year this year in the Beautiful Bay Area and excited to serve as the premier painters event to meet, greet, and gather for the West Coast. KublaCon features classes from some of the nations best painters as well as a top notch painting competition. Last year saw a switch to the European Open Judging style in the painting competition and some new amazing trophies.

KublaCon offers 4 days of amazing gaming for all genres and ages of the hobby and runs from May 28-31. They are offering really great savings for either early registration to the Con or reservations of a room at the beautiful Burlingame Hyatt Regency Hotel, which does an amazing job of hosting the event each year! Every year space at the hotel fills up quick, so take advantage of these early bird savings.

Hope to see you this year at the Khan of Cons! KublaCon!

I hope Wyrd has a presence at KublaCon this year. I believe last year Wyrd sponsored the Paint and Take by providing minis. I hope they do the same this year and extend that to what you described.

A lot of people are asking me at GAMES HABITAT if I will be doing a Demo or if Wyrd will be at Kubla Con. I am not sure what it would take either. I will take a look at their site.

I've been to Kublacon in the last days of Mageknight. And it was alot of fun. There was this booth where you design you warrior and every hour, you submit your data sheet for gldiator style combat and they print out a fantastic play by play. Either your warrior dies or survives to fight another round. It was a great way to pass the time in between rounds. The sizzlers nearby provided much needed sustanence and alot of other places open late in Burligame are just a quick drive away.

A rep from Kublacon asked me to call him. However, he has not returned my call.

Does anyone know if Game Kastle in Santa Clara/San Jose is planning any Malifaux events/tables? I was in there a couple of weeks ago, and they had a *very* nice spread of Malifaux merchandise. It's a little far for me to drive just to browse, but I'd definitely consider it if there's a Malifaux event there.

You could probably ask on their forums (http://www.gamekastle.com/gkforum2/) . They have a great stock of Malifaux (great stock of most everything even the most obscure of games). I play Warmachine at GK. I was told that Malifaux was very popular when the game was first released. I know of at least one person who plays
Warmachine that thinks its a great game (other than me). I play
Malifaux at a different LGS which is roughly 50 mi. north of GK.

Having said that, I guess it appears that there will be no official Wyrd presence at KublaCon... :(
