Vulture totem

Have got my vulture totem but have not had a chance to use it in a game as yet. How useful do people find it and what is its best use?
I am not sure about the 'eyes and ears' action. Does it allow me to use nicos ability to use the 'arise' or 'bolster undead' action?

dont think so, as it only allows spells to be cast remotely iirc

they are great for hoovering up corpse counters and at a pinch can be put into melee range to try and slow down the opposition with failed disengagements; warning, they do die easy though, so they may just hit you and walk away instead of trying to walk/walk

Vultures are great they have Flight and Perch, Eyes and Ears you are using to draw LoS for Decay you can Perch a Bird on high terain and use him as LoS down the field on models Nic just can't get to.

Indeed, I rarely cast spells from them directly. Mostly I use them to get corpse counters and channel decay. Your opponant will find them very annoying though, which is always worth it. They're currenly my favourite totem (although the Zombie Chihuahua comes close because it's just so damn cool!)

Nope.

Arise and Bolster Undead are actions and Eyes and Ears specifically states Spells.

Is the Vulture Totem meant to be a different creature than the vulture that comes with the Nicodem model? Does he have a special "pet" one? :)
